Mar 1864 – Charles W Sees is born in Stark County in Ohio on 19 Mar 1864.

Aug 1900 – Charles is married to Mary Emma Conrad who was born in Pittsburgh, PA on 12 Jan 1870. They have four children: Pauline M (18), John C (16), Frank J (10), and Gertrude A (8).

1910 – Charles Sees is proprietor of Hotel St. Charles, 1437 North Charles St in Baltimore.

1913 – Baltimore City Directory listed "The New St Charles Hotel, Charles W Sees Proprietor, 1437 N Charles. The 1901 RL Polk & Co Baltimore City Directory had a different person for proprietor.

Oct '15 – Charles Sees buys the Plaza Hotel at the SE corner of Charles St and Mount Royal Ave in Baltimore. News reports that he will not be involved with the management of the hotel.

1917 – Charles Sees is living at 2126 Mount Royal Terrace with his wife and daughter. Frank J, 18-year old son is in the Navy on the battleship Wyoming. A news article pictures his son and plugs US war bonds.

Aug '26 – Charles purchases a 42 acre tract at Whitneys Landing on the Severn River in MD for development.

Feb '29 – Mary Emma dies suddenly at home 21 Feb, 2126 Mount Royal Terrace. A Requiem Mass is said for her; interment at New Cathedral Cemetery, 4300 Old Frederick Rd, Baltimore, MD.

April '30 – The US Census has Charles Sees retired, living in Baltimore at 2126 Mt. Pleasant Ave with his son John, and Pauline and Gertrude, his daughters. John is a hotel manager; Pauline is not employed; Gertrude is a secretary.

Jul '30 – Charles marries Anna Braun Michel Fredrick on 12 Jul 1930 in Philadelphia. Anna had become the widow of SY Fredrick with his death in Dec 1926. In the marriage announcement, Anna is recorded as living at 5427 Wayne Ave, Philadelphia with Charles residing at 2126 Mt. Royal Terrace, Baltimore (built in 1890). Their marriage license number is 591169; digital GSU number 4141824. There is no clear societal or historical connection between the couple that might explain how they became married. Anna's relatives were from the uppper class in Philadelphia and Charles may have met them at social events and Anna may have been present/mentioned. Another possibility is that Anna was a Mason and Charles may also have been a Mason. It is possible they met via Masonic networking.

Jun '32 – Anna Michel Fredrick Sees dies 1 Jun 1932. She is buried in West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia.

Sep '47 – Charles dies 7 Sep 1947 at age 83 from Kenesaw Rest Home at 2602 Roslyn Ave, Baltimore. He is interred at New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore, MD.
